At Nevada Advanced Pain Specialists Specialists, we use many different gentle hands on techniques to release tissues, improve joint mobility and improve body alignment. Below are some of the main ones we use:
A manual therapy technique where the patient is an active participant and engages their muscle submaximally to relax the muscles via autogenic or reciprocal inhibition.
The therapist applies an external force to the joint to facilitate arthrokinematic motion.
A manual therapy technique that removes painful, reflexive tissue contractions from the body via a gentle hands-on process of slackening or decompressing the involved structures.
We utilize John Barne’s myofascial release technique. It is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.
Dry needling is using an acupuncture needle to release trigger points or tight tissues. It is not acupuncture, which is based off of Oriental Medicine using Chi and Meridians.
