Jennifer joined Nevada Advanced Pain Specialists in July 2024. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno. Jennifer’s previous work experience includes working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical Services at multiple Northern Nevada hospitals. She has a nursing and hospital administration background, which has given her valuable experience working with patients of diverse backgrounds. Jennifer became interested in a career in pain relief after witnessing first-hand the impact pain has on the quality of life of patients pre- and post-surgically.
Jennifer seeks to involve her patients in their own care through open communication to achieve the best outcomes possible for their health. She utilizes various methods such as medication management, joint/trigger point injections, and general primary care to tailor her treatment to the individual person. Jennifer is passionate about teaching and utilizing a whole body, comprehensive approach with her patients. She is thrilled to be working as part of a team of providers who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for their patients with acute and chronic pain.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys raising her two beautiful daughters, being outdoors, swimming, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and traveling. Above all, she enjoys helping others. With this passion, she desires to provide the best care possible in hopes of improving quality of life for all her patients.
